ME-109
The first attempt at making a large aircraft was a Messerschmitt 109 fighter.
At the time I didn't have a workshop so I built the fuselage in the basement
of my home. It was constructed in sections, then moved outside and reassembled.
After six years of work it was finally complete. The plane sat in my yard for nearly
two years until a friend found a home for it. The plane eventually went to the San Diego
Aerospace museum in California.
