ME-163
The next plane that I constructed was a Messerschmitt 163 Komet rocket fighter. This aircraft was built along the same lines as the first plane in sections and assembled in my yard. While building the Komet, I was fortunate to attend a reunion of the pilots who flew it during the war. A few years later, I attended the reunion again. The former rocket pilots were very interested in my project. It took 6 years to complete. The ME-163 was donated to the Air Museum, Planes of Fame in Chino, California.
